Academics · grades 7–12

Mastery, not minutes.

You advance by showing you understand — not by waiting for a bell. Here's how a JHOHS course actually runs.

The model

Three things make the difference.

01

Mastery, not minutes

Every unit ends in a mastery check. Score below 85% and you get targeted practice — then retake. No moving on with gaps.

02

Live + on-demand

Small live seminars anchor each week; recorded lectures and labs let you replay the hard parts on your own clock.

03

One advisor, all year

A faculty advisor builds your schedule, tracks your progress, and meets you weekly. A 14:1 ratio is the whole point.

A day in the life

Structure where you want it.
